  • avatar

    A small image, photo, or initials that represents a person or account in the interface, often shown beside their name or content.

  • avatar group

    A cluster of overlapping profile pictures used to show that several people belong to a shared item, often ending with a '+3' for the rest.

  • column header

    The label at the top of a table column that names what the values below it mean, such as 'Price' or 'Date'.

  • data table

    A grid that arranges information into rows and columns so people can scan, compare, and sort values across many records at once.

  • gauge

    A dashboard visual shaped like a speedometer, where a needle or arc points to a value between a minimum and maximum.

  • heat map

    A grid of cells where color stands in for value, so darker or brighter areas jump out as the high and low points without you having to read every number.

  • kpi card

    A small panel on a dashboard that highlights one key number, like total revenue or active users, often with a label and a change figure.

  • notification badge

    A small counter, usually a coloured dot or number, that sits on an icon to show how many unread or pending items are waiting.

  • popover

    A small floating panel anchored to the element that opened it, holding a bit of extra content or controls without leaving the page.

  • progress ring

    A circular version of a progress bar, where an arc sweeps around a ring to show how much of a task or goal is complete.

  • row hover highlight

    A background tint that appears on the single table row your pointer is currently over, helping you keep your eye on one record.

  • sortable column

    A table column you can click to reorder every row by that column's values, such as sorting from newest to oldest or A to Z.

  • sort direction indicator

    A small arrow or caret in a column header that shows whether the table is currently ordered from low to high or high to low.

  • sparkline

    A tiny line or bar chart, roughly the size of a word, that shows a trend inline without axes or labels.

  • status dot

    A small coloured circle that signals a simple state at a glance, such as green for online, amber for away, or red for a problem.

  • timeline

    A vertical or horizontal display of events in time order, each marked along a line so you can follow a sequence or history.

  • trend indicator

    A small arrow, triangle, or coloured percentage showing whether a value has gone up or down compared with an earlier period.

  • zebra striping

    Alternating the background colour of table rows so each line is easier to follow across a wide table.
